Summary
Anna rolled her eyes, “Sounds like Elsa when she’s sick. Normally the cold doesn’t bother her but as soon as she gets so much as a cold she gets...well, cold.”
Maren nodded knowingly. “If she needs anything don’t hesitate to press the call button. I’ll be back around again later.”
The next time Maren came to check Elsa’s vitals piercing blue eyes followed her every move. When Maren was done filling out the chart, Elsa was still eyeing her so she stared back. After a moment, Elsa finally spoke.
“Fight me.”
Anna looked about ready to jump from her chair and scold her sister and in any other situation Maren would have been taken aback but since she had seen Elsa when she first came in she knew she was probably still a little out of it.

Summary
“Fine,” Elsa sighed, “What does Kristoff think I should do?” she asked with feigned annoyance.
She knew Kristoff gave great advice and she was actually feeling up to trying to meet someone new for once. Maren seemed nice even if it was kind of her job to be nice; but she didn’t have to humor Elsa the way she had.
“He thinks you should just ask her to brunch,” she held up her hand when she saw Elsa about to protest, “She clearly didn’t realize who you were outside of just a very sick patient. That way you could get to know her without...well, you know...”
Elsa narrowed her eyes at her sister, “You just gestured to all of me. What does that even mean?”
“Elsa, you are a very intimidating person - even if you can’t function properly when you have a crush on someone -”
“I do not have a crush!”

Summary
The angsty follow-up to the last chapter of Date Me
“She’s your mother.”
She watched Maren flinch as if she struck her. And she knew she had now lost the slim chance that this wouldn’t blow up but it needed to be said because Elsa knew that the nurse never let herself think about it. Never let herself remember. She only ever referred to her as Hanna and she always said the name as if it left a bad taste in her mouth.
Maren turned around and the blonde nearly cowered because of the look on the other woman’s face. Bright eyes had darkened. The look in them was different from the last time she had interacted with Hanna. Last time the light had nearly gone out of them but there was still a tiny glimmer. This time...it was like looking into an abyss. There was no glimmer, only rage.
“She isn’t,” the brunette said lowly through grit teeth. “She gave birth to me. That is the only good thing she ever did for m-”
“That’s not true. You’ve said so yourself. You said that she wasn’t alw-”
“You weren’t there. You don’t get to tell me what is true and what is not.”

Summary
Elsa cleared her throat. “I don’t have a lot of time, Maren. What do you need?”
She should have expected it but the business-like demeanor and the expressionless tone of the other woman’s voice was jarring. Elsa was talking to her like she talked to the men on her board.
“I...I wanted to talk to you, Elsa...I…”
“What’s there to say?” The blonde asked as she fully leaned back in her chair and crossed her arms while pointedly glancing at the clock.
Maren knew she had one shot at this. This was the only chance Elsa was going to give her to get her foot in the door, to open the lanes of communication that Maren had unceremoniously and abruptly shut down for five years.
“I’m sorry.”
“No shit.”
The former nurse was stunned silent by Elsa’s nonchalant demeanor for a moment. She took a breath.
Set five years after the end of Talk To Me. Maren is back in Arendelle with a new job, a lot on her mind and her heart set on making things right.
