The months spent in Thousand Sunny have changed Zoro. Through thick and thin, he's worked harder than ever to reach his ambition. The national championships are just around the corner. Dracule Mihawk is just a few inches away from his reach. Also, no matter what happens, Sanji's got his back (and heart, yohohoho!)
It shouldn't really matter to him so much, really. Given that the letter he keeps in his desk's drawer will take everything from him by the end of the academic year.
