Summary
A body with a still heart and staggering steps. A body without a soul. Jaskier had been so beautiful, but Geralt had been enamored by the cleverness of his brain, his sharp tongue and how filled with life he’d been. There’s an empty shell that walks behind him now, humming quietly to itself.
Jaskier is turned but retains some of his personality. He's entirely nonviolent, following them like a little duckling. It breaks Geralt and Valdo.

Summary
“How’s she doing?” Ciri babbles around her fist, almost affronted that the adults were talking about her as if she wasn’t there. Valdo smiles, guiding her hand away and wiping away her drool.
Jaskier turns his head to look at them from the passenger seat, Geralt glancing from the rear view mirror. “She’s alright,” Valdo says, the feisty little thing fussing and demanding attention. They’d been caught in traffic for nearly an hour now, barely inching forward. He’s sure Geralt’s fingernails are bitten raw at this point, and Jaskier’s knee hasn’t stopped bobbing for a long while.

Summary
Jaskier knows the continent like the back of his hand, as a traveling bard is wont to do. When people stop dying, he heads northwards in hope that Kaer Morhen is untouched by the plague in its isolation. Of course, he doesn't expect to run into a little Princess in his travels, but she's Geralt's destiny, and it's far too dangerous to leave a kid to the hands the undead...
