Summary
From the extremely exhausted tumblr prompt: "No more today, you're at your limit." (find me on tumblr at boonki!)
Obi-wan is very tired, Anakin wants to do something nice for him. They spend some time in the bath together, and Anakin tells Obi-wan he is worthy of rest. It's fluffy and tender.

Summary
It’s like something out of a movie, Anakin thinks. The hall is enormous, dauntingly tall, probably meant for a ball. There isn’t any light save for the white streaks that stream in through lofty, narrow windows, like a painter had dipped his brush in moonlight and stroked once across the canvas, but it’s enough for Anakin to make out the exquisitely patterned wood floor, the white and gold molded walls, the unlit chandeliers, the grand piano tucked neatly away in the corner. A thin layer of dust seems to cover everything, and the air is stagnant, desperate to see life waltz in again. Anakin feels as though he stepped out of reality, the hustle of the Christmas festival light years away.
Stringed music starts to play behind him, audio clearly from a phone or small speaker, tin and canny in quality. He turns in confusion. “What are you-”
“May I have this dance?” Obi-wan asks, a hand offered in between them, no longer gloved. He is barely visible in the low lighting, shadows enshrouding all but the curve of one cheek, the glint in one eye. Obi-wan’s phone is on the floor, volume turned as high as it will go.

Summary
was thinking about how often i mishear people when i have a beanie on (and in general, my adhd being a nuisance with auditory nonsense) and then was thinking about how easy it would be to mishear "obi-wan" as "everyone" if you said it quickly enough and-
“Actually, I didn’t come for help with class, I thought you might be stressed and I know you’re always drinking out of your mug so you must like hot liquids and it’s snowing outside, so I-” come on, Anakin, don’t be a wuss “--I came to bring you hot cocoa.” He sets the drink down on Obi-wan’s desk and then stands there, arms at his sides. Like an idiot.
Silence lingers between them and Obi-wan can’t hide the shock written all over his face: wide eyes, upturned eyebrows, an open mouth all betraying him as he regards the red paper cup. Ever the gentlemen, he schools his face into genuine thanks and glances up to Anakin.
“Thank you, I don’t quite know what to say.” He chuckles faintly, stroking a hand across his beard.
Anakin scratches the back of his neck, studying the fine grain of Obi-wan’s desk. “Uh, you’re welcome. Ahsoka said you liked it, so. Um, Happy Holidays?”

Summary
“You’re learning a dance, Anakin, not combat training, loosen up.” He leans into Anakin’s space, a giant shit-eating grin on his face. He can tell how bewildered Anakin is. Obi-wan doesn’t know if it’s truly the wine or the fact that he’s dancing with a man that he should not be in love with. “Try to woo me.”
Anakin stills, gaping at him, the faintest blush tinging his cheeks, barely visible on his naturally tan face. For once, he doesn’t have a clever comeback. “I have been.”
OR
Obi-wan and Anakin are sent on a diplomatic mission to steer a neutral planet into siding with the Republic. Before politics can be discussed, however, the Queen invites them to a symphony, followed by a ball as a celebration of the Republic's successes in the war thus far. Obi-wan is a little drunk, and Anakin learns how to dance.

Summary
“She’s gone, and I can’t—“ A pained noise rips out of him, grotesque and wet. “I can’t— I loved her, Obi-wan.” His chest is a storm of fury and anguish, and it feels like being sucked inwards, a black hole, until there’s nothing left of him. He curls over his mother’s face, settling into Obi-wan’s lap as he breathes in the smell of her hair, of home, for the last time. The brown and dirty fabric of Obi-wan’s pants press into the side of his face, but he can’t muster up any dignity to care about the compromising position, letting Obi-wan pet his hair and grieve with him.
The anger melts into pure, unadulterated heartbreak with each quivering breath.

Summary
They came to know their affections like an illness; they were moths fluttering around the tendrils of an open flame, and the night they fell together happened so naturally, as if the universe had been waiting for the right moment to excavate their emotions and lay them bare. There was no grand gesture of affection, or quivering tension set ablaze by conflict, only the inevitable confessions of heavy, burdened hearts. It’s a story that can’t help but begin, can’t help but to spin itself from start to finish, and then over again; love comes in different forms, and Anakin and Obi-wan were intimate with them all. And in a way, they had always known, always bled into each other until their organs ran in union, lungs and brains working as one. They were the ultimate team, intimate in a way that few people would ever experience. Having grown into men together, survived war together, cried together, laughed together—love was unavoidable, really.
But this is not a love story—because it can’t be.
