Summary

Years later, after saving a village farm girl--Sying Yange--from a group of pirates, he learns that the plague he accidentally created in his youth affected her village, killing her parents and barely sparing her. In an attempt to give himself closure, Lennard makes it his duty to protect her. Despite this, he still understands that there will come a day where he is forced to confront his past mistakes head on. However, little does he know that meeting Sying will cause that to happen a lot sooner than he ever anticipated.
