Summary
The breeze carries the salty tang of the sea as it plays with his hair. The gravestone he’s perched upon, tails fanned out behind him, is solid beneath him, counteracting the precarious feeling that always comes when he’s looking out over the cliff’s edge. The water rests dozens of meters below him, lazily glistening in the sun as it steadily makes its way across the sky to the edge of the horizon, occasionally hiding behind racing clouds. It was his favorite place in the world, even if it was only because it was because the place was the closest he could ever get to death.
