赵敬是五湖娱乐集团的一位董事，虽然凭借多年积攒的经验坐上了二把手，但因为近些年他主签的艺人都没火起来，自己在公司的地位岌岌可危，以至于他现在急切地想要再发掘一位新人演员来证明自己的实力。可是他不管怎么找都找不到合自己眼缘的，这一天他如往常一样带旗下艺人来参加试镜时，偶然间注意到了只身一人来试镜的新人蝎揭留波，蝎揭留波并没有被选中，毕竟有背景的人排在他前面，但是他被赵敬注意到了，带走签下了他。
蝎揭留波刚刚大学毕业，在校期间大大小小演过几个作品，但一直不温不火，自己内心也有一份倔强在，不到迫不得已不愿低头。他来参加这次试镜，其实也是抱着试水的念头，结果出他所料的没中，但却被大公司看上了，或者说，被大公司的董事本人看上了。
