Summary
The tale of why the world is cold and barren in winter has been told, of how Demeter mourns her daughter during her six months in the realm of Hades.
What has yet to be told is the tale of why, during those same six months, the nights are longer and darker. It happens that Mother Nyx too has cause to mourn, for when all was being settled by the gods above and below, Demeter demanded equality. Summary
When Ares gets the news that his old, abandoned betrothal to Thanatos has been revived, he's delighted. Yet things can never be so simple as that, and it soon becomes clear that Thanatos isn't happy to be forced into marriage.
Ares will learn things about love, pain, and what it means to be a monster as he tries his best to make his beloved happy, even if that means letting him leave and never return.
