Summary

Summary
The wedding ceremony itself had been hours ago at least, and Shouto hadn’t had the chance to be within ten feet of his new husband since he’d been pulled off to Kirishima’s table at the tail end of dinner.
It hadn’t really mattered then, but once they’d started the reception separated, there hadn’t been a chance to reconnect. Everyone wanted to chime in with their congratulations, ask about the planning of the event, give a long-winded explanation of their own wedding - thank you, Present Mic.
Long story short, Shouto hadn’t had the chance to revel in the whole ‘married couple’ thing yet - and he was getting pretty damn tired.

Summary
“I hate my fiancé,” Shouto whispered to the sky, to Deku, to the emptiness around them.
He expected Deku to be confused. To ask why, who, how long. To demand to know why Shouto had been stringing him along all night when he was promised to someone else.
Or maybe to tell him that it would get better, that he should grit his teeth and bear it, that he shouldn’t have become engaged in the first place.
To tell him that he should be lucky to marry a prince like Midoriya Izuku.
OR
Todoroki Shouto is marrying a man he’s never met in the morning. He wants nothing to do with his fiancé, Midoriya Izuku - but he might want something to do with the mysteriously charming Deku, who also seems to be escaping his fate in the dead of night.

“W-Why are you telling me this? I-If I go back, won’t I mess up the timeline?” Izuku asked, his voice wobbly.
All Might’s smile turned into a frown, and he looked down at Izuku. “One for All is a cyclical power. It’s greater than me and you. It’s nature demands that it knows it’s users. Sort of like a form of destiny, is how it was explained to me. As such, it has… a sort of a ‘catch clause’. An insurance policy, of sorts.”
“A… catch clause?” Izuku repeated. All Might nodded.
“One for All ensures that it’s users will live to see the day they gain that power. No one is quite sure how, but… if your life is being threatened before the power has been passed on to you, and there is no chance of escape... ” he trailed off.
Izuku sucked a gasp in through his teeth. “So, I travelled back in time to… save myself?”

Summary
Shouto had been so in his head for the first couple of weeks, there hadn’t been any room to care about someone like a camera crewman. They’d all been the enemy - people under his father’s thumb, forcing Shouto’s every move to be broadcast to the world.
And then Midoriya Izuku had knocked on his dressing room door, asking to refilm a shot of him looking broodily at the pile of roses.
And Shouto had been furious - furious that someone as charming and perfect as Midoriya existed, that he was on the island— and that he was just out of reach.

Izuku spluttered for a moment, opening and closing his mouth dumbly as Shouto stared at him, his eyes narrowed. The wings on his back fluttered again.
“W-What do you mean always? Are you—? How do you listen?” Izuku asked, more than a bit breathless.
Shouto scowled. “I’m your assigned Guardian. It’s my job to stay with you.”
