Setting his beer down on a nearby hi-top table he sets off in search of Lucy. The house is quiet, the air conditioning a welcome reprieve from the late August heat. An end-of-summer party Angela had called it when she’d invited him weeks ago. An invitation he steadfastly refused until he overheard Angela and Jackson plotting to set Lucy up with any one of Wesley’s friends who would be in attendance.
