“I’m not mad.” Yuta’s hot breath tickles his neck. “I like Sicheng, but that’s my problem.”
It’s silent for a couple of minutes, Jaehyun unsure of how to respond and electing instead to focus on getting Yuta and himself home as fast as he can so that the other can rest.
“I’ll get over him. You don’t have to worry about me or my feelings.” Yuta continues, this time in a much quieter voice. “You should be with whoever you want.”
Jaehyun is stuck between either laughing or crying at Yuta’s words. I want to be with you. He thinks, almost letting himself say exactly that, but keeping silent instead. What good would it do?
