Summary
“It’s summer,” Ciri says, brows furrowed, with a matter-of-factly tone, “you don’t have to leave us, yet.”
Geralt remains silent and holds her hand, squeezing it once, twice... it hurts, but she doesn’t tell him. Perhaps, just like her, he doesn’t understand why Yennefer is leaving them – or, he doesn’t want to accept it.
Yen’s smile tightens, “someone else will take care of you two.”
Or, Ciri wonders why Yennefer leaves every time and Geralt never stops her. However, when Jaskier replaces her during their adventure, Ciri has more questions than answers.

Summary
“Y’er his Witcher,” The stranger mouths, shifting away from whoever had shoved him away, voice filled with fear, making Jaskier still and, unexpectedly, the spend and blood sliding down his thigh become the least of his problems.
The grip of the newcomer is firm and strong on Jaskier’s neck, keeping him in place with just one solid hand – four fingers are tight at the base, while the thumb is pushing down in the curve at Jaskier’s nape. Then, a growl, right behind the bard's head, low and feral, like the roar of a wolf.
