  Summary

  He knows that's not how it's going to go, though. Ever since being diagnosed as quirkless, the word tastes bitter on his lips and tongue as he forms it silently, Bakugo hasn't had an ounce of respect for him. Friendly rivalry turned to an outright hatred of anything related to quirkless, worthless, pathetic Deku. "You'll never be a hero, a sharp voice hisses, not without a quirk. Midoriya feels his lips curl into a dull smile. All his life he's been dreaming of being like All Might, smiling in the face of danger and helping people. People, he realizes, who would never give him more than a disgusted glance all because he's got an extra joint that shows how impossible it is for him to have a cool, flashy superpower.
