Summary
Burkitsville Indiana, 2005- it wasn't Sam who miraculously appeared to rescue Dean from the Vanir that night. It was Mercy-Elizabeth, a ten-year-old armed with nothing but her determination to prove that the scarecrow in the orchard ate people, and a polaroid camera. The last Dean saw of Mercy was in the Impala's rearview mirror as she waved goodbye. Three years later, the now-teenager reappears in the oddest of places; Bobby Singer's living room, saving his ass from Meg's ghost and claiming an angel sent her.

Summary
After storming SucroCorp and ganking Dick Roman, Dean Winchester wakes up in Purgatory and Mercy finds herself in Crowley's custody.
~
"Dean had survived a childhood with John Winchester as his father... Purgatory was a different beast entirely." & "It was then that Mercy realized she was in trouble. However safe she’d felt, she was still in enemy territory. However comfortable the hotel room was, it was still a place she was not allowed to leave."
(aka, the year between season 7 and season 8 told in a consolidated story as opposed to a series of flashbacks)
