She scans the room, slowly taking everything in and committing it to memory. If he keeps her—if—will he bring her here sometimes? Maybe let her sleep on the sofa? She wiggles her toes in the plush carpeting, the padding underneath almost springy. Or the floor? Would he let her sleep here on the floor?

It's been nearly a year, since Ben Solo inherited her from his father, and Rey doesn't know how to give Ben what he needs.
She sleeps in his arms and eats his food and wears his shirts.
Outside of that he doesn’t touch her, and she doesn’t understand.
He wants, she can see how he wants, and she’s his. “Why?” she demands, suddenly angry. “Why won’t you just take what you want from me?”
He shakes his head, something almost sad about the weariness creeping back in around his eyes. “What I want can’t be taken,” he says. “Eat.”
