MIDKNIGHT CARNIVAL is a Deltarune and Undertale AU that blends the characters and concepts of both games with mysterious and surreal urban fantasy aesthetics and a pinch of tense action. Affectionately I label its vibe as “TYPE-RUNE” since it’s mainly inspired by games like Melty Blood or Fate. I started writing it on a whim a long while ago, but it wasn’t as good as my work could be due to a number of factors. Thus, I’ve begun fully rewriting it following the release of Deltarune Ch.3+4, with all the skills I’ve learned in the time between. Thanks for reading!

I’ve begun rewriting this. In the long hiatus there’s a lot of weird plot holes or things I just feel could’ve been done better in this. Overall the story so far won’t change much, simply the pacing and quality are getting an overhaul. I had planned this a while back but I specifically wanted to wait for chapter 3 and 4 because even with the differences in story I want to try and be true to these characters.

Even still, I’m going to be leaving the original up for archival of my admittedly super amateur writing style, to remind me of not just what I got wrong but what stuck with people on it. Look forward to more by the end of the year though!
