Ethan watched the box with bemusement, gaze almost hypnotized as the owl spun in place, as if The Duke himself was mulling over his decision. Then, with a snap, the box opened, and after seeking confirmation, he reached in and pulled out the card.
His gaze narrowed on the card, a weird chuckle bubbling from his throat.
“What does it say?” Moreau asked from across the table, fingers lacing together as he leaned forward.
“It says…” He turned the card to show the others, “It says ‘Hide and Seek.’ Are we really gonna play that?”
