Summary
Jon’s heat creeps up. It takes him by surprise; it’s just… been so long. Jon hasn’t been on suppressants since he fled the institute and hid away at Georgie’s place. So it isn’t something that's been on his mind these days. He mistakes the restlessness as anxiety, his many, many worries over monsters and rituals. The shivers of loneliness that haunt him weren’t anything new, even as they become a permanent feeling, like background noise; an ache for something he wants and needs, but can’t quite put a name to.
Well, he thinks he has a name for it. But he hasn’t even seen Martin in weeks.
(In the end, it's someone else.)

Summary
“Hey. You alright?”
“Yeah,” Basira whispered.
“Your heart’s beating really fast,” Daisy whispered back.
Basira wanted to turn around and face her. She wanted to look at Daisy in the dark and ask her what it meant, that she’d invited Basira over for the night. What did it mean, that Daisy brought her omega partner into her home, to dress Basira in her clothing, have Basira wash her naked body with the same soap she used? To sleep with her in this bed?
It felt like something had been about to happen just a moment ago. Basira wanted to know what. She wanted to know so badly.
---
Basira is forced to confront her feelings towards Daisy in the face of a developing relationship between her partner and the archivist.
