Bucky’s attention wandered back to the thought of sneaking up on his boyfriend as Matt continued to speak, engaging the class with a series of questions and answers. Bucky had tried of course. They had a bit of a game going to see how close one of them could get before the other noticed, each trying to steal a kiss or a potato chip, and both of them failing miserably. He was impressed at both of their abilities to not throw the other into a wall though when caught; considering how both of them were attuned to enemies trying to sneak up on each other.
Before Bucky could start to think of his next attempt, a familiar sound jolted him from his planning. He looked around, wondering if anyone else had heard it, but no one else seemed to be distracted from Matt’s lecture, except Matt himself. But then he heard a series of similar clicks, and then he knew.
It was the click of a magazine being slid into a weapon, the shifting of a safety trigger.
