OP Summary from NoRationalThoughtRequired: It makes a certain kind of poetic sense, having a musician--who specializes in taking you somewhere else with his songs while you’re stuck here, in the present--playing outside of a bookshop--which specializes in selling pages bound together by the hundreds that transport you to other places, other times. This young man, this Jaskier, he’s bright, he’s cheerful, he’ll draw the eye, you won’t be able to be within a hundred feet of him and not be curious, and if there are curious people standing right by a shop of curious books and other curiosities, well, the idea makes a certain kind of business sense, too.
Geralt gives a nod, short, sharp. “Just don’t block the door. And don’t make me regret this.”
Jaskier claps his hands together and squeals in delight. “No, no, I won’t, I promise. You won’t! You won’t regret this.”
Or: Bookshop owner Geralt inexplicably, in what must be a fit of temporary madness induced by the early hour and not enough caffeine, allows musician Jaskier to play outside his shop. Somewhere along the way, he starts to fall in love.

Triss smiles. Yennefer smirks. Ciri screeches.
“That is the cutest fucking thing I’ve ever heard in my entire life!”
Or: Geralt, apprehensive about attending the world premiere of a string quartet that Jaskier has composed, enlists Ciri's help in picking the perfect outfit. Ciri is all too delighted to assist.

So Ciri likes the snow; she feels loved when it snows.
She looks around her now, at all of her favorite people all in one place, and it’s cold outside, so cold, but she feels a thread of warmth start to curl in her stomach and slowly branch out through her.

Summary
It should be irritating–the incessant noise, the press of the crowd, the confetti swirling in the air, the humidity lingering into the night and somehow finding a way inside. Geralt should be annoyed and irked and downright vexed.
He’s not, though. Because for him, there is only Jaskier. Nothing else, no one else, exists.
Jaskier captures all of Geralt’s attention. He’s magnetic; Geralt couldn’t possibly look away even if he wanted to, and oh, that’s the last thing he wants.
Or: Jaskier takes Geralt to his first Pride, and Geralt reflects on how very lucky he is. (Part of the bookshop universe, but it mostly stands alone, too.)

OP Summary: Love has always been something that Yennefer has kept close to her own heart, guarded carefully, kept quiet and locked up tight, as if speaking aloud about it to others will somehow diminish it, diffuse it throughout the air until she’s surrounded by nothing but wisps of it, futilely trying to grasp it and keep it her own.
Triss has never been that way. Love is like my flowers, she had whispered once, curled around Yennefer, her lips pressing careful kisses along the line of Yennefer’s collarbone. You tend to it, you nourish it, you shine the light on it, and oh, how it will grow.
Everywhere I see things that remind me that I love you. Why not tell you right then? Who cares who else is around to hear it?
Or: Yennefer is used to keeping her love quiet, but sometimes, oh sometimes, she wants to shout it to the world. (A Bookshop AU fic)

OP Summary: Neither of them are strangers to sleepless nights. They both find it difficult to turn their noisy brains off, to wind down and sink into a restful slumber, so it’s not uncommon for the early morning hours to find Geralt folded in an armchair with a book open against his legs or staring off into space, to find Jaskier sprawled out on any flat surface scribbling away in his lyric notebook or lightly strumming his guitar to work out a chord progression. They’re both used to surfacing from a dream, blinking awake, and turning to see the other side of the bed empty, the rumpled sheets cool to the touch.
Or: Geralt listens in while Jaskier composes during the early morning hours. He hears something that is unexpected, but definitely not unwelcome. (Part of the bookshop universe, but it can stand alone.)

OP Summary: There's a tender swollen lump at the back of his skull, his hair is a mess and all sweaty, but Jaskier still chokes on a plaintive little sound of appreciation as Geralt’s strong fingers run through his locks, combing them back from his damp face with a thoughtless intimacy that Jaskier barely knows what to do with.
This is the best worst day of his life.
