Summary
Written for a prompt in the "Gen and Aro Prompts (Any Fandom)" challenge collection. The prompt was called "Kindness Makes the World Go Round" by Udaberri. It read as follows:
"Soulmates do not have to be lovers, even though some may be lovers. Soulmates can be friends or family. They can even be complete strangers.
A soulmate is simply the person who will be in the best position to help when you need it most.
(Any kind of Soulmate AU, any fandom, as long as it's gen!)"
So immediately, I thought of orphan Midoriya Izuku panicking over the idea of soulmates and wondering if it was possible that his soulmate marks would lead him to having new dads. Feat: abusive orphanage staff (but only like one scene with a little bit of actual violence concerning it), UA showing Izuku he can have friends, and Izuku refusing to allow himself to be happy until it literally punches him in the face.Series
