Can be dumbed down to the AU where Phos is the isolated emo loner, Antarc dies early, Cinnabar is the master scholar, Zircon's the old, tired elder, Jade is both Ghost & Cairn because fuck logic, Quack Doc Pad, Lapis & Euc swap, and Diabortz doesn't change roles. Except. Instead of kind Dia they snap way earlier and it's battle maniac Dia. Bort is the same.

Notes:

this isn't a traditional swap au, i guess? like instead of the usual normal swaps this is like... where the creator just goes "fuck it. this character is getting swapped with this other character even though their interactions are zero to none," aka the creator swaps characters as they will it so it can get confusing at times (apologies)
