Summary
What can happen in a second? Quite a lot, actually. After Lassiter finds himself on a two week long case solving streak, Shawn and Gus decide to drop by in the hopes of landing a case. Once they do, they realize that they've been missing so much more.
~*~*~
“It only takes a second to get off my desk.” Lassiter’s tone was sharp, annoyed. Shawn couldn’t help but grin. He could read between the gritted teeth and knew that this was probably the most fun Lassie had had in the last two weeks.
Shawn had missed this too. Way too much.

Summary
Henry really should have known better than to ask Shawn to house sit. Really. How was Shawn supposed to know that watering the plants included inside plants as well?!
~*~*~
He pulled out his phone and sent an ‘SOS’ to Gus, Carlton, and Jules. He contemplated sending one to Buzz also but the poor man would probably panic and Shawn needed someone who could help with damage control.
Gus’ text came back first. ‘Not now, Shawn.’
Shawn tsked as he began texting his best friend back. Halfway through his message, Carlton replied with ‘Not right now, Shawn.’
Shawn stopped and raised an eyebrow. That was a bit uncanny. He took a screenshot and sent it to Gus with the caption ‘Starting to sound like Lassie 😏’ and to his husband, ‘if you find me dead tomorrow, it was henry.’
Jules had yet to answer which meant that Carlton had probably told her to ignore it. That meant that Shawn had to up the ante. He copied and pasted another message to each of them individually.
‘Also there’s been a murder.’
Send.

Summary
Dinner at Lassie's new place? Check. Address? Not so much. But that's okay! Because Lassie wrote very detailed and easy to follow directions, right?
...Right?
~*~*~
“Why would I leave two and a half hours early when he’s living in Santa Barbara?” Shawn questioned, pulling out the paper with the address.
“Is he living in Santa Barbara?”
“Of course he is, he’s—” Shawn trailed off, eyes quickly scanning over the page of instructions that Carlton had left for him. “—woah.”
Gus was at his shoulder in an instant, casting a shadow over the page. “That is not an address. Shawn… text me the actual address when you find it, if you have time to do so before Lassiter murders you, that is.”
“He’s not going to murder me.” Shawn scoffed, only half convinced. “He’s just…” He trailed off, squinting at some of the weird directions. “...being paranoid. I mean, Jules did invite all the people he arrested to his house just two weeks ago.”
“All I know is—no one knows where he lives currently and he’s just given you directions that only someone like you could follow. By the time you call for help, it’ll already be too late." Gus shook his head sadly. "It was nice knowing you, Shawn.”
