“That’s a crazy request!” Present Mic screeches, his face a mask of shock. But Enji could see the spark in the commentator’s eyes—this was gold. “He’ll destroy you! He’ll crush you! You’ll be beaten to a pulp!”
“Haha, as if Endeavor could beat me,” Hawks laughs with a shit-eating grin. But despite his superior facade, Enji can see the seriousness in the young performer’s eyes. This isn’t just a promo. It’s a call-out. “Endeavor, I look forward to your answer. If you dare to give me one.”
With a sharp turn, Enji all but throws the phone back to his young peer and stomps out of the locker room to his office. He’ll show the newcomer why he was number one.
