  Summary

Ray couldn't scream this time, couldn't cry; they couldn't breathe; all he could do was sink to the floor, feel the blood seeping through his jeans. He deserved this, deserved to have their body stained in red. If he was supposed to live, let the world know that they were why so many had died.

Ray and Morgan were dragged into Borderland, forced to play games where losing meant death.
Eight of Hearts only wanted one winner, and Ray seemed to be it; he was a victim, he was a murderer, and his sister was dead because of him.

  Summary

It was happening again; he was standing in the hallway littered with bodies, blood seeping towards Ray, drifting towards his shoes until they surrounded them.
The sound of blood dripping, sliding down his arms and falling to the ground.

The aftermath of the Eight of Hearts game where Ray lost his sister, a death he felt responsible for, just like the death of his parents. He wanted to die, but it seemed fate had other options when the militants showed up and dragged him to the Beach.
