“Keep his name out of your mouth, Nightwing.” Batman whirled around, his eyes were narrowed and the white lenses of his cowl reflected that. “You always hated Shrike and you made it known.”
Damian fought for a breath. Choking on his own mistakes and regrets being thrown into his face.
Tim and Damian never had a good relationship. He was angry and he had felt betrayed that his Father had kicked Damian out onto the curb and replaced him with some white, smart, rich kid. A kid who had just wanted to be loved and acknowledged, and that Damian saw himself in far too much to feel comfortable.
So yeah, Damian made it known that he hated Tim, but he didn’t. Damian hated himself.
And it was one of the worst mistakes he’d ever made in his life.
