Summary
“I don’t see what’s so silly about asking my boyfriend on a date.”
“Exactly that, Jon,” he said like it was obvious. “You don’t need to ask like that.”
“Why not?”
Martin laughed again, and then shrugged. “I don’t know, isn’t it just that from now on, anything the two of us do for fun is considered a date?”
“I… Is it?”Jon tries his hardest. Martin seems to upstage him at every turn. Or at least, that’s how Jon sees it.

Summary
Martin chuckled a bit. “How did you say it? I’d be very amenable. I’m just–look. Forgive me for being concerned that you might be pushing yourself to do things that you label as quintessentially normal for my sake.”
Jon’s mouth twisted into even more of a frown. He slid his hands over Martin’s shoulders, resting softly on his collarbones. “I appreciate that, but that’s not what’s going on here. I just–”
He slumped a bit into Martin, his hands coming to cup the base of his neck, playing with the ends of his hair.
“I feel… very close to you right now.”
Martin gave a soft snort. “Well, yeah, you’re in my lap.”
