Summary
"I remembered Evan saying earlier that he had plans with you tonight," Draco said. "When I asked about it, he said “she’s smart, she’ll figure it out.”
“Oh,” Hermione said.
“Thus, I’m here,” Draco said, clinking his glass with hers. “I figured drinks with me is maybe slightly better than being stood-up.”
“Just slightly,” Hermione said.

Summary
He knocked twice on her door and then stepped back a little, trying not to run his fingers through his hair and mess up the product he’d put in it. After a moment, Hermione’s door swung open. Draco would have breathed out a sigh of relief to see that she was dressed to go out on their date, but the sight of her took his breath away, and he hoped he didn’t look like he was gaping like a fish.

“Hi,” she said, smiling at him.
“Hi,” he said back, holding her close.
“Last night was…” Hermione started.
“I agree,” Draco said quickly. “Unless you were going to say it was a mistake… then I wholeheartedly disagree.” Hermione rolled her eyes a little and smirked.

Summary
“So what else is common for muggle dates?” Draco asked when they were out of the crowds and walking down a quieter path.
“They’re pretty similar to wizarding dates,” Hermione said. “But just less magic.”
Based on tonight, Draco had a feeling Hermione might be wrong about that.

Summary
“Tell you what,” Draco offered. “If we can get your fever to drop and you rest for a bit, I will help you prepare for the argument.” Hermione considered him for a moment.
“It’s your day off,” Hermione protested lamely.
“I had planned on spending it with you anyway,” Draco shrugged and Hermione gave him the hint of a smile. “Deal?”
“Deal,” she finally agreed.

Draco wasn’t hiding, exactly. He was just in the basement of St. Mungo's. In the back potions lab. With the lights off. With his face buried in a book.

Summary
“What do you think about packing up those cookies and wine and coming with me for the weekend?”
“Packing up…Where are you taking me, Draco Malfoy?” she asked, giving him a calculating look. Draco smirked.
“A bit of an adventure,” he said. “Are you in?”
To his delight, Hermione didn’t even hesitate. She took his hand in hers and squeezed. “Absolutely.”

Summary
“I love her,” Draco said, voicing his deepest secret into the comfortable silence he and his mother shared. She only responded by smiling warmly and patting his chest when she fixed his tie.
“It’s every mother’s dream to hear that her son is in love,” Narcissa said back.

Summary
Pansy narrowed his eyes on Draco. “Care to shed some light on why I spent my morning with Hermione in near-tears because she thinks you’re leaving her?”
“Leaving her?!” He shouted, entirely confused.
“Well I talked her down from thinking you were cheating on her,” Pansy explained. “Apparently you have been distant and avoiding her. Which I find entirely strange since Blaise, Theo, and I had to endure your drunk arse telling every passer-by in London that you plan on marrying this girl and making dozens of curly blonde spawn with her as soon as she lets you.” She rose an eyebrow and Draco’s face burned red. “So spill, Draco.

Summary
Music was playing from the record player in Draco’s living room, filling the flat with a light jazz Hermione hadn’t expected. She followed her nose to his kitchen and leaned against the doorframe, her fingers covering her mouth as she laughed quietly.
Draco was in sleep pants and a plain white shirt. His socks were mismatched as he slid around the kitchen, wooden spoon in hand. His hair was slicked back, fresh from a shower, and he was singing along with the song from the record. He obviously didn’t notice Hermione was there yet. She wasn’t sure she’d ever seen him this relaxed and happy, singing slightly off-key as he stirred a red sauce on the stove.
Merlin, she loved this man so much.
