The group has returned home from their stay in Poguelandia and JJ and Kiara still can't seem to get it together. They have a horrible, horrible habit of falling into each other when at least one of them needs comfort, but it's starting to put a strain on their friendship and pull at their heartstrings.
Something's gotta give, because if it doesn't they're both going to break.

They were both 95% positive they were on the same page. Which, technically, they were if it were a one page essay conveniently titled "I Love You, But I'm Too Scared to Love You Properly."

"Interesting," Cleo said as the other two girls continued their staring contest. "You've had quite the handful of hammock make outs with a boy who's... not your boyfriend." Kiara caught the movement of air quotations in her peripheral vision.
There was another shrug on Kiara's shoulders, feigning indifference.
"We're taking things slow. We already know how we feel. It's just a title, doesn't really change anything."

"Why is this funny to me?" JJ turns toward Kie. "He wants to know why this is funny to me," he humorlessly jokes.
Kiara can see something has switched within him. Whatever had been holding him together since the news of his father's release snapped and seemed to be sending him dangerously close to an unstoppable spiral.

Kie had slipped into a lilac silk minidress with black lace at the bottom. He was 100% confident she wasn't wearing a bra, and was almost as equally convinced that, if she bent over far enough, he'd be able to figure out whether or not she was wearing underwear too.
"You trying to kill me tonight, Carrera?" the blonde fondly whispered as he wrapped his arms around Kiara's waist from behind. His girlfriend affectionately smiled at him through the mirror and leaned back into him, accepting the kisses he peppered along her shoulder.
"Hmm, never," she hummed. "You're too handsome to kill," she playfully continued. "Plus, you've got a very particularly skilled tongue. No good to me if your dead."
