Summary
Shang-chi is kidnapped - and finds out his (former) mob boss dad has also been kidnapped to the same place.
They escape because they have skills, but they’re in a foreign country, they don’t speak the language, they have no money, no phone (that can do what they need it to), no one to rely on but each other, and some shady dudes are chasing after them (to kidnap them again).
Oh, and his dad sprains his knee and they (he) steal a car (because, again, skills).
And also he may or may not have been in hiding from his family and hasn’t spoken to his dad in 10 years.
