Out of all they had, Bronco's death robs Phil of the chance to have called it love. He wouldn’t dare call it that, now. He’s no lovestruck nancy boy and he certainly hasn’t gotten all hung up or bent out of shape about it. Still, in all his words spoken of Bronco, he's never let slip an unkind one. Maybe whatever they shared lies in that. Or maybe Bronco finally got to bind Phil at the legs and castrate him like an animal, like he’d always joked about doing. At the end of the day, it doesn’t change a thing.
