"Ei, it is your birthday today." Yae's voice softened when she saw the somber look quickly took over Ei's features.
"And yours is tomorrow. We used to celebrate our birthdays at the same time together with Makoto." Sadness and regret marred Ei's voice. "I'm sorry, Miko, it has been a long time and—" Yae pressed a finger to the Archon's lips, preventing her from saying more. It was supposed to be a happy occasion, their time to build new memories after so long of being separated. Yae would not let Ei dwell in her sadness anymore.
