It all started with a thought of what would happen if the Crawley's actually paid more attention to and cared more for their downstairs staff? Throw in a younger Thomas and him being smart enough to not want Sir Philip and the duke being an arsehole this is what I got.Or:
A younger Thomas navigates life at Downton Abbey facing hardships, but doing so with the support of his downstairs family, and with more care from the Crawley family. With the love of his found family he hopes to heal from his painful past and make a life for himself. With the Crawley's protection will he be able to find love in a time when it was considered a crime?
