Summary
In the first month after they part ways with Lan Zhan on the top of the hill Wei Wuxian keeps having a dream. He is standing above a cliff, Chenqing to his lips, playing the mysterious melody he has grown used to call for himself “The Lan Zhan song”. Then, suddenly, with the last tones still hanging in the air, he hears his name behind his back: “Wei Ying.”
Lan Wangji's dreams are always bolder.
In the Xuanwu Cave, on the rooftop, in the Cloud Recesses... All the times things could have gone differently between Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji, they do in their dreams!

Wei Wuxian finally returns to Cloud Recesses. He is very determined not to mess everything up, but of course he messes everything up anyways.
