Aira is quite unpopular in school because of him not being fully japanese, to the point that he gets tormented daily. Although when someone from a foreign village transfers to his school, he hopes everyone will forget about him and pick on the new kid instead.
To Aira's dismay, everyone seems to love the new student. Aira despises him for that. He gets some of the best scores in their grade, he's popular with girls and everyone wants to befriend him.
Aira swore he wouldn't get too close to him, but that was hard, considering Hiiro sits right next to him and is persistent to become his friend.
