Summary
“At least 0.4%,” Donna says and she’s smiling, like she thinks she’s funny, like she thinks they’re friends. They’re not friends. “You need to stop thinking,” Donna moves on. She stalks towards her, she walks weirdly, Cameron’s never been able to describe it. She feels like she’s being hunted, but that’s too dramatic. Donna is kind and Donna is brilliant, but Cameron’s heard more about her than Donna knows. Donna saved 93.6% of her code but Cameron isn’t about to start acting like she owes her something.

“I like this dress,” Cameron says. She bunches the fabric up near Donna’s waist, a dark yellow that looks brighter against her skin and somehow doesn’t wash her out, dotted with tiny sunflowers Donna was fond of when she bought it. It’s a cute dress. She doesn’t know why it’s making her feel ridiculous right now, a sunny contrast to how Cameron’s dressed like they aren’t in California.
