Summary
“You’re gonna catch a cold, out here in the water,” Jake says, breaking the silence far quicker than Bradley had expected him to. There’s a joking tone in his voice, his accent thicker than usual, and a half-smile plays on his lips. Bradley would know this if he was staring, which he is not, but also very well might be.
“And you’re not?” Bradley hums, and Jake huffs. The sea breeze whistles by on a leisurely current, ruffling his hair and tinting his cheeks pink with its chill.

Summary
Jake’s cheek leans against his elbow where it rests on the window ledge, staring at the world passing by in a blur of colour. His fingers tap absently on the door of the car as the shit radio plays some shit track that Bradley hums along to. His feet are up on the dashboard, tracking mud onto the clean surface that had been so taken care of until he ruined it. He’s making quite a name for himself, doing that now.
“Where are we going to go first?” Bradley asks, as the song ends and there’s a couple moments of silence before the next begins. He’s still smiling faintly, the adrenaline and giddiness of rebellion keeping him going. Jake envies him. He’s just been feeling hollow for the past day.

Summary
March shakes his head, putting on that stupid voice he does when he’s trying to sound smart.
“It’s a perfectly natural reaction, anyone being touched there would have the same—”
“Being touched where? Here?” Healy’s palm grinds down, and March’s voice breaks around a whimper as he grips his wrist with two hands now. His shoulders lower, his head hanging as his lips part. His thighs press together, his blunt nails digging into Healy’s skin. His hair slides loose from its swept-back styling.
“Jack—”
“Yeah?” Healy twists his hand, his thumb pressing into the button on March’s pants, nudges it out of its holding. “Why’d you say my name?”
or;
