Summary
Stiles waited as long as he could stand and then pounced on Derek as if he'd been waiting since they met for it to be kosher, which, Scott realized, he may well have been. Him and his ten-year plans. Then they spent the rest of the summer in Derek's apartment, as Stiles said, "Taking in all that werewolf hotness. Storing it all up for the long, cold winter."
"You're not even going to be four hours away from each other," Scott had objected. "I'm sure you'll get plenty of chances."
"But not like this, Scotty," Stiles replied wistfully. "Not like this."
Scott was slightly, but definitely, jealous.

Summary
"Hey, yeah, guess what I'm thinking about," came Stiles's voice through the wall, already breathy and eager into his phone. Scott could hear the low grumble of Derek's reply, and then Stiles laughing. "It's a good time, then?"
Up until recently, that had been Scott's cue to leave the apartment, hole up in the library with his biology homework. Now... well, the three of them were a unit, but Derek still wasn't completely comfortable with Stiles and Scott doing any more than kissing without him there.
It wasn't unreasonable. But right now, Scott was tense, needed a break, needed to stay in his Pack's little satellite territory, and he had to wonder exactly where that line was.

"Are you in love with Scott?" Derek asked Stiles, watching his face.
Stiles frowned. "I dunno," he said. "I just want him to be happy, you know? I want both of you to be happy. That's, like, really important, okay? I love both of you. I'm in love with you."
"I might be," Derek told him with trepidation. "In love with Scott."
Stiles broke into a grin. "That's great!" he said. "He needs this, you know? He's made to be in love."
He's made to be loved, was what Derek heard.
