Between leaving Hershey when he was not yet 19 and settling down as a firefighter in Los Angeles at 25, Buck led the life of a nomad, traveling through both North and South America. What he doesn't talk about is the part of the journey that brought him much farther away from home than any of his friends could ever imagine.

When Jack met the Doctor and started traveling with him, the other two companions traveling in the TARDIS with them changed his life just as much as the Doctor himself. Rose by changing the very essence of his being, and Evan by showing him a side of himself Jack had thought lost long before he had reached adulthood.

Even after their paths divert, Jack and Buck never forget the time spent together. And eventually, of course, Jack will catch up to Evan's time.

This series started with the idea of three or four episodes, with the main one being the episode I wrote during July Rough Trade 2022. But of course, that whole idea got derailed when I dove into this universe and the ideas just wouldn't stop coming.
Please don't ask for a timeline for updates. I'll slowly work through the series as the mood strikes and I have time.
