Summary
Mr. Homayani’s daughter would have to accept that Zhongli had a lover, as he had no intention of casting Childe aside. As theirs was a political marriage, the foundation for a prosperous alliance between criminal syndicates, it did not require fidelity or love, only cooperation.
Zhongli wished with all his heart that Childe were the one he would call his betrothed. But he knew such things would never come to be. Childe wasn’t willing, and for once, he would respect that.
Or: Zhongli and Childe navigate their unhealthy intimacy, face the consequences of a life of violence, and find something like happiness at the end of it all.
