Summary
He lingers when he passes the freezer section in the supermarket. He breathes mist into the car window when he can and draws Easter eggs in it so it runs down. He wakes up from dreams of hoodies with ice around the cuffs, and a smile so warm he’s surprised it doesn’t start to melt, start sloughing off hotly and slowly, dripping down his chin.
Every snow day, Jamie thinks of him.

And Jamie could live like this, live in the sound of this- everyone laughing and screaming, the crush of snow pressed into his knees and against his cheek and it’s not like last time, none of them are like they were last time, but right now they have snow in summertime and Jamie’s never loved like this, like it’s going to burst through, like it’s enough to melt the ice.
This is a story about the same people all over again, just with more mileage. Something big and bad is coming, and the Man in the Moon tells the Guardians they need Jamie. And the kids in the neighbourhood have all grown up, but that doesn't mean they don't believe.
