Summary
Witnesses have different viewpoints. Batman knew this. It was common for people to have a wide variety of reports in the heat of the moment and times of severe stress. It was why one witness saw a man with a gun while another saw a man holding a cell phone at the very same time. Fear could skew one’s perspective. Batman had mastered fear, training for years to see what others could not – unbiased.
Bruce Wayne, however, in the midst of his gala had no way of knowing the direction the night would turn. One minute he was playing Brucie Wayne, then the next, part of an active crime scene involving his neighbor’s son.
