He hated the way they looked at him. The way everyone did. Luz looked at him as if she truly knew what he was going through, there's no way she possibly could, he didn't even understand what was happening to him. The Owl Lady like he was a weak, hurting animal, he hated the way he wanted to embrace that role, it was sickening. His u- the emper- Belos. Like he really knew what Hunter was up to. There was no way he could, he was so, so good at keeping secrets.
They were all wrong.
At least that's what he kept telling himself.
