Summary
He's not sure what possessed him to work for the chain restaurant in the first place. He had applied last year, and it wasn't difficult for him to work his way up to manager in less than six months. Turnover was high. Who could blame them though? Who wants to be berated constantly by stuck-up religious nut jobs? Screamed at because they got an extra chicken nugget in their kid's meal (for real, it's happened), or spit on because you had to choke out "my pleasure" to the asshole who screamed at one of your staff and he thought you didn't mean it? The only thing that would be his pleasure would be stabbing that guy.
But regardless of all of that, Nai thrived. There was just something about giving shit right back to shitty people. He was famous around the area for his no-nonsense attitude in running his store. He lived for how his staff feared him, and he loved making the customers beg for his mercy.
