Summary
Just as the connection between Dazai and Atsushi deepens, a mysterious organization, led by the scientist Dr. Moreau, appears with the capability to clone special abilities: attaining Atsushi's "Beast Beneath the Moonlight" is their ultimate target. After a failed mission, Atsushi is captured and imprisoned on the island of Dr. Moreau, where he is forced to confront the twisted origin of his own special ability.
As the narrator, Dazai confronts significant shame and loneliness by understanding his intricate feelings for Atsushi and his intimate fascination with death. Simultaneously, he must unravel the mystery of this case, leading the Armed Detective Agency far from Yokohama to a remote island in the Pacific where they discover that "Beast Beneath the Moonlight" powers the manufacturing of monsters and abilities alike. On the island, Dazai and the others are met with horrors much greater than they could have ever imagined.*This is heavily inspired by a "No Longer Human" by Osamu Dazai ."The Island of Dr. Moreau" by HG Wells is the secondary inspo.

**Part 2 of "The Disqualified"
TW: Mentions of suicide, PTSDSet two months after the events of "The Disqualified"--Atsushi struggles to adapt to his new life without his special ability. Plagued with feelings of emptiness and mourning after his own death in another universe, he seeks help from an unlikely source. Atsushi must submit to the evil he originally fought to escape, putting his life and his love for Dazai on the line.
Meanwhile, Dazai is haunted by a mysterious ability user from another world, one who is inextricably close to him: more so than he could ever imagine.
