Summary
It's been a year since Hawkins split open, and everyone seems to be moving on. Steve is trying his best to move on, but it's like he's pushing through a glacier in a frozen ocean.
'Eddie was on him before he could even blink. He easily pinned Steve’s wrists on either side of his head, and he straddled Steve’s hips. “Take that back,” Eddie said slowly and Steve shook his head. “They don’t sound the same.” Steve rolled his eyes and settled into the warmth of Eddie’s glow. He felt hot under his skin, and when Eddie’s skin touched his it burned. Eddie was pretty. Handsome. Steve knew that, but he was only brave enough to admit it when he was high and warm. Eddie’s lips were stretching into a teasing smile. God! Steve wanted to kiss him. He wanted Eddie. It was only when he was a little fucked up that he could be brave enough to get a little closer to Eddie. A little more handsy when he was under the influence, usually nothing more than desperately grasping at each other, and never talked about it after they sobered up.'
