It’s the girl who was staring at her in the dining hall when they were here in the winter. The girl smiles, recognition flashing across her face, too. She has a nice smile. She has a nice face, dark hair done up in a complicated braid, warm brown eyes, freckles. Ellie realizes that she’s the one staring now, and quickly glances away.
