Summary
All the living will die at some point. At the end of their lifespan, Death comes to take what now belonged to them. Exceptions existed, of course, but one seldom comes across an individual given another chance to live, let alone blessed with immortality. What puzzles the entire realm of the dead, then, was a girl whose existence defied everything they knew - that is, being the first ever mortal that Death sought out before the end of her lifespan.
