Summary
He felt like the job sucked all the passion and joy out of him, and it didn't help that all these meetings turn into is pointless small talk between supervisors once the boss breaks them all off to go home.
The period of awkward small talk after the meetings was the worst part of being here, the very thing he'd prefer to cut out and ignore if he could. The conversations always start off about work--which fine, he guesses that's important to talk about--and always evolve to something unabashedly personal, like relationships and outside drama; things that he doesn't feel the need to divulge in the work place when they have nothing to do with work.
