Summary
Greg Davies is the Taskmaster - or will be soon. First he needs to get measured for a suit at a referral only, off-Savile Row, bespoke tailor called 'Alex Horne'. There are a lot of decisions that go into getting a suit appropriate for the Taskmaster made, and Greg would much rather someone else told him exactly what to do.
“Tell me about the Taskmaster. Who is he?”
“Oh? Right. Well, he’s me…” Greg sits up and gestures dramatically at himself – all six foot eight and twenty-two stone. He knows he’s big – intimidating – and he accompanies it with an imperiously raised eyebrow. “A tyrant. Mercurial and unforgiving – a monster one moment and generous the next.” He brings a hand up to curl into a grasped fist. “Crushing their dreams of victory and laughing as he does it.”
Mr. Horne has leant forward, elbows on his knees, fascinated.
“Vindictive?” he asks.
“Definitely.” Greg nods.
“Unpredictable,” Mr. Horne says, mostly to himself, standing.
“Of course.” Greg finds himself starting to smile.Series

Summary
One week after his eventful encounter with the bespoke tailor, Mr. Horne, Greg is back - ostensibly for the first fitting of the Taskmaster suit. But Greg hopes for more – a lot more – and it's all he's been thinking about all week. Mr. Horne is going to tear him to pieces.
The door opens, and Mr. Horne is standing there – face mild and expressionless, backlit and shadowed.
“Mr. Davies. Right on time,” he greets him, as if it could have been anyone else.
Greg hesitates, unsure, before responding in kind. “Mr. Horne.” The name feels complicated in his mouth. He thinks he sees Mr. Horne relax a fraction.
He steps back and gestures for Greg to come in.Series
